SEMH Teacher needed in the Wirral Area

North West/ temporary / £140 - 220 per day

Teacher Active is proud to be working with an independent specialist provision based in Wirral, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs in a small and supportive learning environment. The setting has a Good OFSTED rating and provides individualised learning programmes and bespoke support, with a strong focus on positive relationships, engagement, life skills and helping pupils progress.

The school is looking to take on a passionate SEMH Teacher from September on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right SEMH Teacher. The successful SEMH Teacher must be confident teaching across the curriculum and adapting lessons to meet pupils' individual needs, while a subject specialism and the ability to lead and develop a subject area would be highly desirable.

• QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
• Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs
• The ability to confidently teach across the curriculum
• A subject specialism with the ability to lead a subject area is desirable
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
