Technical Surveyor - Property Repairs

Are you an experienced Technical Surveyor with a strong background in property repairs, building defects, and damp and mould investigations? Join a leading housing provider and play a key role in maintaining and improving homes across a diverse residential portfolio.

We are seeking a Technical Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality maintenance and repair services. Working closely with operational teams, contractors, and customers, you will provide expert technical advice, investigate complex property issues, and ensure repairs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Salary: £42,000 - £49,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out property inspections and diagnose issues relating to damp, mould, condensation, structural defects, and disrepair.
Produce technical reports, specifications, schedules of work, drawings, and cost estimates.
Monitor and manage repair and maintenance contracts to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
Provide technical guidance on design, construction, maintenance, and repairs.
Ensure works comply with relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, and industry best practice.
Maintain accurate property and asset data.
Build strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and customers.

Requirements:

Degree-level education or relevant construction-related qualification.
Strong understanding of damp and mould management, HHSRS, and Awaab's Law.
Knowledge of current housing maintenance, building regulations, statutory, and compliance requirements.
Experience preparing specifications and schedules of work.
Strong commercial awareness and budget management skills.
Good knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
