Primary Intervention Tutor

Attention all education professionals!

Prospero Teaching is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Tutor to support pupils within a welcoming primary school in the Christchurch (BH23) area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor, qualified teacher, or experienced education professional who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential. Working mornings only, you will provide targeted support in English and Maths, helping Year 5 pupils build confidence, close learning gaps, and prepare for the next stage of their education.

Minimum Rate of Pay: £25-£30 per hour

THE ROLE

As a Year 5 Tutor, you will:

Deliver engaging one-to-one and small-group tuition.
Support pupils in English and Mathematics in line with the Year 5 National Curriculum.
Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs.
Monitor progress and complete session feedback.
Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
Work closely with school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Desirable, but not essential:

QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils, particularly Year 5.
Previous experience in a UK primary school.
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
Provide two professional references related to working with children.
Have at least one year's experience working within an educational setting.
