About the Role:

As a Finance Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in central purchasing and exchequer activities for the Alliance. Your responsibilities will include sourcing goods and services, processing payments, managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You'll be the go-to expert for purchasing advice and will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Source purchasing requests and ensure timely fulfilment.
Liaise with suppliers and customers to manage consumables efficiently.
Process invoices accurately and within specified timescales.
Maintain financial records and ensure value for money in all purchasing activities.
Administer the receipt of goods and update inventory as per regulations.
Manage outstanding debts and monitor finances to keep them healthy.
Support audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Handle cash collections and banking transactions with utmost integrity.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong administrative skills with a focus on accuracy in financial tasks.
Ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.

Experience with financial software and computer skills.
A track record of trust and responsibility in finance or purchasing.
