Position Summary
There is an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to support our services at Yeatman Hospital.
This post is 22 hours per week.
ScheduleMonday to Saturday 07:30am‑13:00pm.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for achieving a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical ward based environment and also non-clinical areas throughout the main hospital, ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained. Full on‑site training is provided and PPE provision is also included.
To support the Facilities Manager in their role and to ensure that the standard of cleanliness within the Trust is implemented and maintained.
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- General cleaning / damp dusting
- Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
- Emptying bins
- Use of mechanical floor cleaning machines
This role involves working as a team, with a flexible approach, good communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative.
The post offers an opportunity to work extra hours as able – to cover sickness and staff holidays.
CompensationGood pay rates – weekend enhancements.
Eligibility & RequirementsEmployment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
