We are seeking an experienced and motivated Systemic Family Psychotherapist to join our Getting Risk Support (GRS) team within Dorset CAMHS. This specialist role supports children, young people and families experiencing high levels of distress and complex needs, whose difficulties are best met within the THRIVE Getting Risk Support quadrant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist systemic assessments, formulations and short‑term interventions for CYP and families experiencing significant distress and risk.
  • Deliver systemic family therapy in line with AFT guidelines and evidence‑based practice, including approaches such as NVR and FFT.
  • Contribute to safety planning, risk management and multi‑agency care planning.
  • Offer consultation, supervision and advice to colleagues in a range of partner agencies, including acute hospitals, social care and education.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the wider CAMHS systemic therapy pathway.
  • Participate in audit, service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives and support ongoing development and transformation of the GRS pathway.
Essential Requirements

  • Candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible.
  • Pan Dorset role – travel to different sites is required; temporary bases may apply during transition.
  • Post may require flexible or extended hours as part of future service developments.
