Brookes HC Recruitment Ltd is recruiting two full-time Support Workers for a specialist care service in Poole.
The service supports adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental-health needs. We are looking for compassionate and dependable people who can provide person-centred support while promoting independence, dignity, choice and quality of life.
These are maternity-cover positions expected to last for approximately 12 months. Successful candidates will initially work through Brookes HC Recruitment Ltd under the agreed temp-to-permanent arrangement before transferring to the service for the remainder of the fixed-term contract.
Shift requirements
* Shifts will predominantly be days
* Applicants must also be flexible enough to work night shifts when required
* Exact shift times and rota patterns will be discussed during the recruitment process

Responsibilities
* Supporting individuals with their daily routines
* Providing respectful personal care when required
* Promoting independence, dignity and choice
* Supporting emotional, physical and social wellbeing
* Assisting individuals to participate in activities and engage with their community
* Following individual care and support plans
* Maintaining accurate daily records
* Supporting safe mobility and following moving and handling procedures
* Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred care
* Following safeguarding, health and safety, medication and infection-control procedures
Requirements
* Previous care or support work experience is preferred
* A compassionate, respectful and person-centred approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Reliability and flexibility
* Willingness to complete all required training and pre-employment checks
* Availability to work predominantly days while also covering nights when required
* An existing right to work in the UK
