We are currently recruiting for an experienced SMT Operator to join an established manufacturing business in Poole. This is a hands-on production role working as part of an experienced SMT team, producing electronic assemblies to strict quality and delivery standards.
🔧 The Role
As an SMT Operator, you will be responsible for a range of production activities across the SMT manufacturing process, including:
Operating screen printers, pick & place machines and reflow ovens.
Operating and working with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment.
Carrying out product verification and inspection to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Hand building SMT assemblies where required.
Monitoring production against agreed timescales and ensuring customer delivery dates are achieved.
Identifying and reporting issues that could affect quality, production or delivery deadlines.
Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks as required.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised production area.
Following all company Health & Safety and ESD procedures.
Working closely with the wider production team to ensure the production plan is achieved.👀 What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 3 years' experience within an electronics manufacturing environment.
Previous experience working within an SMT production environment.
Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A flexible approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
IPC A-610 and/or IPC J-STD-001 knowledge/qualifications would be advantageous.⭐ Why Apply?
