Electrophysiologist (EP) Cardiologist Full-Time

Overview:
VHS is seeking a highly qualified Electrophysiologist (EP) Cardiologist to join our esteemed Heart & Vascular Center in Dothan, Alabama. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to practice in a dynamic, well-established facility committed to innovative, comprehensive cardiac care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced cardiac electrophysiology services, including diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias.
- Perform complex electrophysiology procedures, including ablations, device implantations, and pacemaker management.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, vascular specialists, and allied health professionals to deliver integrated patient care.
- Participate in on-call rotations, sharing responsibilities with fellow electrophysiologists coverage averages four times per month, with potential reductions as additional EPs join.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of electrophysiology protocols and patient care pathways.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
- State-of-the-art Cath Lab equipped with advanced imaging and ablation technologies.
- Established electrophysiology program offering comprehensive services for arrhythmia management.
- Region s only facility performing TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and Watchman device procedures.
- Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) from the American College of Cardiology.
- Robust cardiac rehabilitation program incorporating pulmonary function assessment.
- Supportive clinical environment focused on cutting-edge cardiac care and patient outcomes.
- Valid Alabama medical license; comprehensive licensing approval prior to start date.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology.
- Active Alabama DEA registration.
- Demonstrated expertise in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology procedures.
