Neurosurgeon Full-Time Position in Dothan, Alabama

VHS is seeking a qualified and motivated Neurosurgeon to join our team on a full-time basis in Dothan, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity to provide specialized neurological care within a supportive and technologically advanced environment.

Position Summary:

The Neurosurgeon will be responsible for delivering comprehensive neurosurgical services to patients at a single hospital, with a focus on patient care, surgical excellence, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves managing a diverse spectrum of neurosurgical cases, working closely with hospital staff, and utilizing advanced imaging and surgical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of neurosurgical procedures with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
• Collaborate with neurology, radiology, intensive care, and other specialty teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Participate in patient consultations, preoperative assessments, and postoperative care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to hospital protocols and standards.
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled to ensure continuous patient care.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a neurosurgery residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in neurosurgery.
• Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
