Job OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Structural Engineer Consultant or Structural Design Consultant with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience. This position begins as a Structural Engineer/Designer with the opportunity to grow into a Project Engineer or Project Manager as the firm expands. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and eager to work on diverse project types across the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, reports, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and owners to deliver coordinated and code-compliant designs
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and assess structural integrity
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and construction submittals for accuracy and compliance
- Provide technical support during construction, including field observations and design clarifications
- Develop working knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, etc.)
- Participate in internal and external coordination meetings to support integrated project delivery
- Prepare clear documentation, correspondence, and engineering reports
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and material behavior
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (ETABS, RISA, SAP
2000, or similar) - Working knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit experience preferred but not required)
- Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
