Join Health Actions Physical Therapy and Fitness as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and help provide excellent, holistic care to patients. This full‑time position offers extensive initial hands‑on training, ongoing mentoring, competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities- Meet patient goals, assess and interpret evaluations and test results, and develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Administer manual therapies, assist patients in exercises and functional activities, and encourage compliance with home exercise programs.
- Use modalities such as massages, traction, physical agents, hydrotherapy, ultraviolet/infrared lamps and ultrasound; supervise aide/assistant treatments.
- Evaluate treatment efficacy, recommend adjustments and modify protocols as needed.
- Coordinate discharge planning with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health‑care professionals; contribute to patient‑care conferences.
- Design and teach home exercise programs, provide assistive equipment recommendations, and plan outpatient or home‑health follow‑up.
- Document care in patient and department records while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ensure a safe, clean environment and comply with infection‑control policies.
- Maintain equipment operation, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs.
- Stay current with professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional societies.
- Develop staff through informational sessions and in‑service training programs.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and advise management on compliance.
- Contribute to team efforts and perform related tasks as required.

This position requires careful monitoring of clinic assistants and aides to ensure treatment quality is maintained per the Plan of Care designed.
Physical DemandsThe role involves walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting and moving continually. Responsibilities include lifting objects over 50 lbs, pushing wheelchairs and transporting residents. Continuous alertness to patient safety is essential.
Expected Hours of WorkMinimum 40 hours per week.
Typical schedule:
Monday‑Thursday 7:50 am–5:00 pm;
Friday 6:50 am–1:30 pm, with possible variations based on patient schedule.
Education and Experience
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Current licensed Physical Therapist
- Maintenance of required continuing education units (CEU) annually
