As our front desk receptionist, your precision with insurance verification directly impacts both patient experience and our clinic's financial health. We're specifically looking for someone who excels at resolving insurance and billing challenges while maintaining high patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Meticulously verify coverage before services are provided to prevent claim denials and maximize revenue capture.
- Confidently explain costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients in an understandable way.
- Proactively identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they impact revenue.
- Deliver exceptional service even during difficult financial conversations – keeping patients happy while handling payment matters.
- Greet patients with warmth and professionalism that makes AFC stand out in healthcare.
- Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins with lightning efficiency.
- Maintain organized records while strictly following HIPAA regulations.
- Experience with insurance verification and medical billing (non-negotiable).
- Ability to explain complex insurance concepts to frustrated patients with empathy and clarity.
- Obsessively detail-oriented – a single digit error in an insurance cost thousands.
- Previous work as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or any customer service role in a medical office setting.
- Tech-savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and can find billing solutions that work for both patients and the clinic.
- Maintain a positive attitude even when dealing with challenging financial conversations.
- Develop highly marketable skills in medical billing and insurance – some of the most in-demand talents in healthcare.
- Receive specialized training in insurance verification and patient financial counseling.

Full-time with flexible shifts (some evenings/weekends) - Requirements:
High school diploma required; X-Ray Teah, Medical Assistant or related certification is a plus
Pay range: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and market conditions.
