Material Handler, Manufacturing Production
Position Overview
Position may work in shipping, receiving, insulation or sealing, and will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Insulates and assembles product for delivery.
- Uses sealant to properly seal product.
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Opens containers.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Rotates material.
- Transports materials from storage or work sites to shipping area.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Loads/unloads truck for Industrial Truck Operator.
- Assists in various departments as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned. (Flexibility where needed)
- Ability to learn multiple areas and processes.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school education (or equivalent) preferred and/or previous factory experience preferred.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in standard units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and use tape measure.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to adhere to delegation of authority and lead by instructions of management and supervision.

Computer SkillsBasic computer skills may be preferred or required.
