Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118 bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Treatment Center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The 55,000 square foot facility is situated on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from both Florida and Georgia. The hospital employs approximately 195 staff members.

REGISTERED NURSES for Day Shifts

• Provide nursing care to psychiatric patients (children and adolescents) utilizing established nursing process.
• Document, provide nursing groups, follow program guidelines, medication administration.
• Maintain safe and therapeutic environment, intervene with disturbed patients, admissions and discharges, use restraint techniques when necessary.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Graduate from an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Associate degree in nursing required
• Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama
