Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118‑bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen, located on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from both Florida and Georgia. The facility houses the New Day Academy, a state‑supported year‑round K‑12 school with vocational opportunities, and employs approximately 195 staff members.
ResponsibilitiesLicensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) will provide nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. The LPN is directly responsible to the Nurse Manager, RN House Supervisor, or RN Charge Nurse for quality patient care provided to patients on the units.
Qualifications- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama.
- One (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
- LPN must have credentials to direct physical management of the patient and have current CPR certification.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
