Maintenance Property Inspector

Foshee Residential is seeking a Property Inspector to support our apartment communities across the Southeast. This position is responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with HUD and NSPIRE standards, documenting findings, and helping maintain the overall quality and safety of our communities.

• Schedule and conduct inspections to ensure units meet NSPIRE standards, performance and acceptability criteria as established by HUD.
• Correctly enter, update, and monitor each inspection in the housing reporting software and/or mobile tablet.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and reporting documentation.
• Travel to assigned communities to perform inspections as needed.
• Communicate inspection findings and required corrective actions.
• Work closely with onsite teams to support compliance efforts.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience in building inspection, property management, or trade/construction work preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills, integrity, and ethics.
• Familiarity with HUD guidelines, HQS/NSPIRE rules, and local building/housing codes preferred.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel.
• Knowledge of computerized information systems and computer savvy as inspections are performed using a mobile tablet.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan work effectively to meet deadlines.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Current automobile insurance (meeting minimum federal, state and local requirements).
• Other licenses and certifications as required by federal, state, or local law.

• Ability to work five days per week, 52 weeks per year.
• Reliable transportation with the ability to transport tools and supplies where needed.
• Individuals must wear company-specified maintenance uniform apparel and safety equipment as required.
