Overview

The Dothan Country Club was founded on March 6, 1923, soon after Patrick

B. Jones, an avid golfer, came to town with a bag of clubs. He was able to convince several of his acquaintances about the joys of playing golf. About one hundred dues‑paying charter members founded the club. On February 24, 1924, the first round of golf was played on the new course. From 1924 until 1956, a graceful colonial‑style building, surrounded by a veranda running along three sides, served as the clubhouse.

An old‑school classic tree‑lined layout that features fast and firm greens. A state‑of‑the‑art irrigation system, re‑surfaced tees and cart paths, as well as quality Bermuda greens, make the course one of the gems of golf in the southeast. Our PGA Class A golf professional and PGA first assistant know the course like the back of their hands, and give personal lessons and hold clinics to members and their families weekly.

The Golf Pro Shop is the hub of all golf activity and anything can be found or ordered by their knowledgeable staff.

Expereince at a private golf club

FN prefered.

• Maintain a good standing within the PGA of America.
• Encouraged and expected to play with members and Section Events/Pro‑Ams.
• Assist with all Club Events and Tournaments Character using Golf Genius Tournament Software.
• Have a good working knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf.
• Assist in keeping the golf shop clean and organized.
• Assist the Outside Operations with any duties that are inline with the standards of Dothan Country Club.
