Route Delivery Driver – Dothan, AL

Location: Dothan, AL – Retail shop

Airgas is hiring a Route Delivery Driver to safely and efficiently deliver compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers. As the "face of Airgas," you will load, unload, deliver, and return cylinders while maintaining excellent customer service and compliance with safety procedures.

• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
• Record deliveries and pickups on a load manifest and obtain signatures from customers.
• Collect empty cylinders or rejected/unsold merchandise and return them for refilling.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations; listen to and help resolve service inquiries and complaints.
• Provide timely communication to management or the assigned Airgas sales associate regarding any changes or issues experienced by the customer.
• Perform cylinder inspections according to operating procedures.

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Valid USDOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (card).
• Hazmat Endorsement (H or X) or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to operate a vehicle with an air brake system (no air brake restrictions on CDL).
• At least 21 years old.
• One (1) year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years.
• A clean driving record, with no more than two (2) convictions; or no more than two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three (3) years; or no more than one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three (3) years.
• Alternative: diploma from an accredited driving school or a combination of driving experience and prior Airgas-specific experience.
