Part Time English Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 7 credit hours per semester in English.
• Maintain a minimum of ten office hours per week for student consultation appropriate to course delivery method.
• Provide a course syllabus at the beginning of each course following faculty handbook guidelines.
• Develop new courses and course materials as appropriate.
• Stay current in the teaching discipline(s) and the pedagogy of that discipline.
• Participate in professional development activities on an ongoing basis.
• Submit correct proof rosters and grades in Banner by assigned deadlines and record daily attendance per institutional policy.
• Submit assessment data to the discipline committee chair in a timely manner.
• Attend and participate in all college-wide and appropriate school meetings.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in English or related field.
• Two years of teaching experience.

• Doctorate degree in English or related field.
• Three years of teaching experience.
