Travel RN - Mother Baby - Newborn Nursery

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Nursery position requiring NRP and STABLE certifications along with prior sick infant care experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current BLS, STABLE, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Nursery experience required
• Experience caring for sick infants required

Responsibilities

• Perinatal unit with a dedicated Nursery separate from the Postpartum (PP) unit
• Unit includes 6 LDRP rooms, 2 triage rooms, 5 PP/WHS rooms, and 2 NICU beds
• Nursery nurses attend every delivery and provide care for infants
• Approximately 80-90 births per month
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, working every other weekend or every weekend
• No floating to other units required
• No charge nurse responsibilities required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Centricity for charting and Paragon for medication administration
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards
• Provide direct care to newborns and attend all deliveries
• Collaborate with PP unit while maintaining a separate Nursery environment for infant care
