Head Football Coach

The Head Football Coach is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, often outdoors, and overseen by the school Principal, Athletic Director, & Director of Secondary Schools.

All staff and/or coaches are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Moreover, they must embody the core belief that every action we take is driven by a commitment to the best interests of our students.

• Ability to manage Athletic Budget
• Ability to manage/lead athletic staff
• Build teamwork/leadership capacity in student athletes
• Comply with GHSA rules and regulations
• Ability to maintain a successful program
• Provide instruction
• Assess and encourage student progress
• Comply with state and district-level regulations and policies
• Comply with the rules of the Professional Students Commission code of ethics for educators
• Other duties as assigned by the principal or immediate supervisor
• Ability to be discreet and confidential
