Description

Regular Nursing duties in Endoscopy center. Provide individualized nursing care according to physician orders, recognized nursing techniques, legal aspects of nurse practice in Georgia and company policies. Responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care across all stages of patient experience. Must work independently with minimal supervision and may travel to a sister center.

Reports To: RN Endoscopy Manager (RN)

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Experience in GI endoscopy preferred.
• Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged.
• Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification; ACLS certification is recommended but optional.
• Completion of Airway Management Module required prior to administering IV conscious sedation; score of 100% on conscious sedation module post-test.

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands

Ability to work under stress. Moderate periods of sitting and computer use. Good visual acuity. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement, and discern sensory information. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods and lifting/carrying items up to 25 pounds.
