Coordinator Quality Assurance

Utili Quest, LLC, a leading provider of quality underground utility damage prevention for over three decades, is looking for a Coordinator Quality Assurance to join its Operations Team. With headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia, and offices across the United States, Utili Quest offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with Operations partners to identify opportunities for damage prevention through field audit processes.
  • Identify at‑risk field technicians who need additional training and provide coaching/mentoring.
  • Perform field audits for accuracy of marks and compliance with applicable state laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Correct field risk findings and coach/mentor technicians.
  • Provide frequent feedback to Field Check partners to improve quality results, reduce damages, and ensure audit requests are completed with proper documentation.
  • Communicate audit and investigation findings with quality assurance and operations management, both verbally and in written format.
  • Effectively balance various job responsibilities while meeting daily productivity and efficiency standards and completion deadlines.
  • Provide witness testimony in small claims and litigated cases when necessary.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Support hands‑on utility locate training and education in damage prevention.
  • Remain current on existing and emerging learning methodologies and technologies.
  • Attend weekend and ticket production work as required.
  • Complete other duties as needed.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • One (1) or more years of experience locating underground utilities and/or related experience; two (2) or more years preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of utility locating procedures, marking standards, and proficiency with locate equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot difficult locates and interpret utility plats.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor technicians.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze facts, anticipate results, make decisions, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
  • Proficiency in computer‑based technology and ability to learn new systems and software.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Respond to emergency calls, as needed.
  • Proficient in use of hand tools and equipment (shovels, screwdrivers, wrenches, and ped keys, etc.).
  • Ability to carry 3–5 lb electronic locating equipment for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
Physical Abilities & Exposures
  • Complete and maintain all training.
  • Drive safely and follow company safe‑driving policies.
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance at all shifts and training sessions.
  • Perform work in all weather conditions, during normal and after‑hours.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools.
  • Reach overhead, bend at the waist, stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, ability to adjust focus.
  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
  • Follow all safety rules at all times.
  • Work a flexible schedule (some evenings and weekends) as needed.

Compensation

The wage range for Coordinator Quality Assurance is $22.00 – $26.00 per hour.
