2ND Shift: 2:30 PM - 11 PM (Monday to Friday)

Job Summary: Provides guidance to dock employees involved with daily warehouse operations including loading, unloading and automation processes. Assists in maintaining the accuracy and productivity of vehicle loading and unloading, processing of pallets, producing reports, and paperwork.

Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Indirectly supervises 10-30 employees within the Depot.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws in Supervisor’s absence.
  • Ensure accuracy of item description and counts for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Key holder, occasionally responsible for opening or closing the facility on a rotating schedule.
  • Ensure accuracy of all quantities for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure accuracy when filling out Bill of Lading and communicating with drivers.
  • Ensure allocation sheets are current and accurate.
  • Unload, Verify, Record, and Label all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Communications with Dock Supervisor/Depot Manager on dock activity, availability of dock doors and ready pallets.
  • Along with Dock Supervisor ensures warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Assists in ensuring all receiving, inspection, and put away processes are performed correctly and completed daily.
  • Provides ongoing coaching and training to all workers to ensure processes are performed correctly and on time.
  • Promotes a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment always.
  • Ensure safety measures are followed.
  • Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory.
  • As part of the leadership team, shares responsibility for building security, and safeguarding of assets.
  • Ensures automation and material handling equipment is working safely, efficiently, and accurately through regular inspections, troubleshooting and/or maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Maintains the timely flow of pallets, in and out of processing equipment (sortation, washing, repair, etc.) to meet expected throughput.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • 2 or more years of warehouse and logistics experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and moving machines and equipment. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs, push and pull up to 12 lbs, lift, stand and carry consistently, have proper hearing, vision and speech capabilities. May need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Hearing protection, safety glasses, goggles, or shields).
