Cover Supervisor
Location: Dover

Academics are currently recruiting a confident and resilient Cover Supervisor to support a Behaviour Support Unit in Dover. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about supporting young people with behavioural, social, and emotional needs.
The RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences and supporting positive behaviour within a specialist unit. Your duties will include:
- Supervising classes in the absence of the teacher
- Delivering pre-set work and ensuring pupils remain on task
- Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and de-escalation strategies
- Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders
- Creating a calm, structured, and safe learning environment
- Has experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or alternative provision
- Is calm, confident, and consistent in behaviour management
