A brilliant specialist secondary provision in Tower Hamlets is searching for a Specialist SEN Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic role for a qualified teacher who enjoys delivering creative, practical and highly personalised learning. The school places a strong focus on communication, confidence, independence and preparing pupils for life beyond the classroom.

You will be teaching small groups of secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, supported by experienced SEN TAs and a strong leadership team.

• Teaching pupils with ASD, complex needs and learning difficulties
• Delivering creative, differentiated and accessible lessons
• Working closely with SEN TAs and wider support staff
• Focus on life skills, communication and independence
• QTS / QTLS required

Specialist SEN Teacher –

Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTLS
• SEN experience preferred
• Mainstream teachers with strong SEN experience will also be considered
• Calm, patient and adaptable
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• Passionate about inclusive education
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
