Experienced Geography Teacher / Early Careers Teacher (ECT) – start September 2026

This ‘Good’ graded secondary school in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is looking for an Experienced Geography Teacher or an Early Careers Teacher of Geography to join our high‑achieving Humanities Department on a permanent, full‑time contract from September 2026. The role offers a highly supportive induction programme, opportunities to plan, prepare and conduct lessons across key stages, and a chance to continue professional development.

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging geography lessons for students across key stages.
• Set learning objectives that align with curriculum objectives.
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Use evidence of performance to inform planning and assessment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative planning sessions.

• Confirmed experience as a Geography Teacher or ECT in a secondary school.
• Recent assessment rating of ‘Outstanding’ for the last five years (for experienced teachers).
• Qualified to teach, or in the final stages of completing a PGCE/SCITT (for ECTs).
• Willingness to join the MPS/UPS3 Inner London Pay Scale with TLR potential for the right candidate.
• Experience working in a well‑resourced, well‑structured Humanities Department is an asset.
