Are you an ambitious Social Sciences Graduate Teaching Assistant looking to become a Social Science Teacher?

An “Outstanding” secondary school in Tower Hamlets, that consistently achieves some of the highest GCSE and A-Level results in the country, is seeking a Social Sciences Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across the Social Sciences department.

As a Social Sciences Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with pupils in KS3 to KS5, providing classroom assistance, subject‑specific intervention, and academic mentoring. You’ll also support learners with SEN, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement in Geography.

Social Sciences Graduate Teaching Assistant | Key Responsibilities

  • Providing in‑class support in Social Sciences lessons
  • Running 1:1 and group interventions for underachieving students
  • Helping with lesson resources, planning, and marking
  • Supporting students with SEND or EAL backgrounds
