Are you a recent graduate looking to kick-start your career in education? Are you considering teacher training and keen to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting? Horizon Teachers is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across Southeast London from September. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about supporting young people and developing their classroom experience.

• Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where applicable)
• Provide one-to-one and small group academic support
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Support students with additional learning needs where required
• Encourage student engagement, confidence, and academic progress
• Help to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Hold a degree in any subject
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Are passionate about working with young people
• Are reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive
• Have previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

• Opportunities within welcoming secondary schools across Southeast London
• Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
• Earn up to £300 in vouchers through our referral scheme

As part of our registration process, you'll need an enhanced DBS check and we'll need to see and copy your original qualifications before any placement. Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
