We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support delivery of ports and roads infrastructure works in Dover
. This freelance role will involve setting out, quality control, and day-to-day site engineering activities on a busy, live operational environment, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme.

• Setting out for highways, port infrastructure, drainage, and associated civils works
• Providing engineering support to site management and subcontractor teams
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards
• Managing as-built records and assisting with RAMS and ITPs
• Carrying out site surveys, checks, and measurements
• Liaising with the main contractor, port authorities, local highways teams, and design consultants
• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site
• Monitoring quality and ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met at all times

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on ports, highways, or heavy civils projects
• Strong setting-out experience using GPS / Total Station equipment
• Good understanding of highways standards and civil engineering specifications
• Ability to work in live operational environments
• CSCS card (minimum requirement)
• SMSTS or SSSTS desirable
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Full UK driving licence
