Responsibilities & Experience
- Manage a patch of properties and have working knowledge of social housing, anti‑social behaviour related legislation and best practice.
- Experience of managing and resolving anti‑social behaviour within a local authority or similar environment.
- Good understanding of housing and tenancy law.
- Experience with in a housing related or similar organisation.
- Knowledge of crime and disorder and anti‑social behaviour legislation and issues.
- Experience of planning and implementing change.
- Experience of taking cases to court as part of enforcing tenancy or other breaches (desirable).
- Experience of working with a range of partners, including communities, to develop new and different ways of working.
- GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above (Grades 4‑9 or equivalent). Degrees are welcome.
- Housing Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Housing, Level 3 (desirable).
- Excellent IT skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams.
- Good negotiation skills.

- Current full driving licence effective in the UK and use of a motor vehicle for business use.

You will be expected to be part of a team providing and managing delivery of a comprehensive housing management service for Dover District Council tenants. You will provide a specialist service to investigate reports of tenancy breaches, ensure tenancy breaches are actively and promptly resolved, and be proactive in putting measures in place to minimise tenancy breaches. Enforcement action will be taken where necessary, including preparing casework for legal action and representing the Council in court.
