We are seeking a passionate Production/Manufacturing Team Leader who thrives in a lean manufacturing environment and is driven by continuous improvement to join our client!

Role Summary

To be responsible for managing and developing team members, and to continuously look for opportunities to improve quality, cost and delivery through the involvement and development of people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day to day operations of the production and assembly team.
  • Ensure products are being completed to business and customer standards and requirements.
  • Delegate tasks to team members based on their unique skills and strengths.
  • Provide training, support and motivation to team members.
  • Develop staff with internal and external training.
  • Conduct individual reviews for team members on a regular basis.
  • Ensure resources are being used to maximise efficiency and output.
  • Produce KPIs based on data.
  • Ensure daily and weekly KPIs and targets are achieved by the team.
  • Contribute to LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement ideas.
  • Maintain a good level of stock accuracy.
  • Follow safe systems of work and maintain records.
  • Create and distribute regular reports to Senior Management.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Experience with in a manufacturing or production environment

    Knowledge and understanding of LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • A logical mind with the ability to prioritise effectively
