About the Role

We are looking for reliable and professional Relief Security Officers to provide essential cover during staff sickness, holidays, and other periods of absence. This is a vital role that ensures continuous protection of our clients’ premises and the smooth operation of their security services.

As a Relief Officer, you will thrive in a structured, disciplined environment and be ready to step in where needed. You will play a key part in maintaining safety, supporting site teams, and delivering exceptional customer service at all times. Flexibility, strong communication skills, and a commitment to high standards are essential.

Job Opportunity
  • Patrolling & Monitoring:
    Conduct regular patrols (including mobile patrols where applicable) to detect signs of intrusion, damage, or suspicious activity.
  • Access Control:
    Monitor entrances and exits, verify passes, and authorize visitors in line with site protocols.
  • Incident Response:
    Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, following established procedures.
  • Customer Service:
    Provide a professional, approachable presence and assist visitors, staff, and contractors courteously and efficiently.
  • Reporting:
    Maintain accurate logs and incident reports for compliance and handover purposes.
  • Health & Safety:
    Identify and report hazards, ensuring a safe environment at all times.
Essential Skills

  • Reliable and trustworthy with a flexible approach to working hours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid SIA licence
  • Driving Licence
  • 5-year checkable work or education history
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
