Senior Customs Clerk

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious
Senior Customs Clerk to join our UK Customs team.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in customs brokerage, a thorough understanding of UK customs procedures, and the ability to manage tasks accurately and efficiently within a dynamic team environment.

• Prepare and process UK import and export customs declarations using the
  Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
• Complete and manage
  Transit movements,
  IPAFFS notifications,
  ENS and
  ELO
  declarations.
• Ensure full compliance with UK customs legislation and HMRC requirements.
• Liaise with customers, freight forwarders and government authorities.
• Resolve customs-related issues efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth and timely clearance of consignments.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working within a UK customs brokerage or customs agency.
• Excellent knowledge of UK customs procedures and HMRC legislation.
• Proven experience using the
  Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
• Proven experience in handling
  import and export customs declarations
  ,
  NCTS Transit
  ,
  IPAFFS
  ,
  ENS
  , and
  ELO
  declarations.
• Fast and accurate keyboard and data entry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Motivated, determined and ambitious.
• Flexible approach to work and the ability to perform well under pressure.
• A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Office-based.
• One weekend per month worked remotely as part of the operational rota.
