- 55,000 annual ED volume, Level III trauma center
- 231 Hospital beds and 40 ED beds
- 14 bed observation unit
- Acuity (admit rate) 21%
- Will accept ABEM/AOBEM only
- 9 and 10 hour shifts at hospitals
- Hospital Physician Shifts ALL have scribe coverage
- EMR system EPIC
Bayhealth Emergency Center Smyrna Smyrna, DE
- 18,000 annual ED volume
- 11 ED beds
- Freestanding facility
- Acuity (admit rate) 4% (transferred to Kent)
- Will accept ABEM/AOBEM/FP or IM with 3 years ED experience
- 24 hours physician coverage
- 8 hours extended coverage
- 12 hour shifts - single doctor coverage
- 16 hours of scribe coverage

Credentialing is centralized for all four facilities and generally takes 90 days. 1,664 hours annually is considered full time employment
