This Engineer Program Manager I position supports Delaware's Department of Transportation utility coordination program by reviewing relocation plans, utility agreements, and technical conflicts while coordinating with utilities, consultants, and project teams. The role ensures compliance with DelDOT and Federal requirements, supports utility permitting, and administers the permitting system. The position requires field studies, project planning, cost estimation, and technical guidance to staff.
Keyqualifications:
- Valid Delaware Professional Engineering License or equivalent from another US state, territory, or Canadian province
- Six months experience as a project engineer managing engineering programs and projects in disciplines such as Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Electrical, Construction, Mechanical, Industrial, Agricult
- Knowledge of staff supervision through coursework, training, or experience leading professional, technical, and clerical employees
- Valid driver's license required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
