The Director of Legislative Affairs is a senior staff position within the Delaware House of Representatives that oversees legislative operations, staff management, and committee coordination. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Director supervises legislative aides and fellows, manages committee schedules and logistics, supports members with constituent issues, and develops staff training and professional growth initiatives. The role requires strong judgment, discretion, and experience working in a fast-paced legislative environment.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, Communications, or related field (or equivalent legislative/administrative experience)
- Three to five years of progressively responsible administrative, governmental, or legislative experience
- Experience working in a legislative, governmental, or public sector environment
- Knowledge of parliamentary procedure
- Demonstrated professionalism, impartiality, integrity, and discretion
