Location: Kent Campus Hospital

Status: Full Time 72 Hours

Shift: Weekends

Salary Range: $31.25 - $48.43 per hour

General Summary

Under the direction of the Site Manager and Radiology Supervisor, demonstrate competency and actively function in General Radiography procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the procedure room and patient for all studies; disinfect equipment after each patient, dispose and replace dirty linen, and monitor patient flow for efficient daily operations.
  • Educate the patient regarding ordered procedures, obtain patient history and written consent, verify patient information and ICD‑10 codes, and ensure all safety precautions are addressed.
  • Perform procedures in accordance with established protocols, position patients, select appropriate equipment, monitor patients during procedures, notify the radiologist of reactions or problems, and assist radiologists as needed.
  • Demonstrate competency on all general diagnostic imaging equipment, ensure quality images before releasing the patient, and keep imaging QA rate below 2% per month.
  • Run a pending work report daily to ensure all exams are properly charged; track and report PACS and HMR errors, maintaining an error rate below 2%.
  • Maintain adequate supplies, keep the room stocked at shift start and throughout the day, and report items below par levels.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiologic Technology certificate program.
  • Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Basic Life Support or equivalent certification.
  • New Graduate.
Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiologic Technology certificate program.
  • Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Basic Life Support or equivalent certification.
  • Prior experience desired.
