Location: Kent Campus Hospital
Status: Full Time, 80 Hours biweekly
Shift: Day/Nights
Salary Range: $16.98 - $25.48 Hourly
The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist is a skilled and compassionate professional with lived experience. The role reports to Care Management leadership and works within an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient motivation, develop recovery plans, and support substance‑abuse populations.
Responsibilities- Work with Care Management, Behavioral Medicine, and ED teams to provide support to substance‑abusing populations.
- Provide peer support to engage individuals in a recovery partnership and assist in identifying recovery goals and solutions.
- Assist individuals with the development of a personalized crisis plan, recovery action plan, and person‑centered treatment plan.
- Maintain a caseload and prepare narrative reports as required.
- Promote self‑advocacy by ensuring recovering persons have their voices fully heard and goals established.
- Assist in developing and cultivating connectedness in clients’ lives.
- Advocate for clients to identify services or resources to help achieve goals.
- Conduct routine follow‑up engagement to maintain contact with clients.
- Assist Behavioral Medicine, Care Management, and ED teams in SDOH and substance‑abuse screening and risk assessment.
- All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Credential:
Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. - Experience:
Twelve (12) months working or volunteering in a peer recovery specialist role with a minimum of three (3) months of narrative report writing experience.
