Position: 2022-23 Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Elementary

10‑month temporary position for the school year. Reports to the Building Principal. Current Teacher Salary Schedule.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or other closely related field.
  • BCBA Board Certification (BCBA), in good standing within the registry.
Position Overview
  • Consult and collaborate with staff, providing classroom management support and coaching on individual student needs and data collection.
  • Participate in pre‑referral problem‑solving teams (e.g., Multiple Tiered System of Supports; academic response‑to‑intervention).
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) of students with maladaptive behaviors.
  • Create evaluation reports and present findings to the IEP team and families.
  • Develop comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) including antecedent interventions, replacement behaviors, and strategies to reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Present BIPs collaboratively to staff and families.
  • Provide behavioral skills training for instructional staff on each BIP.
  • Develop and monitor implementation fidelity checklists, offering follow‑up training as needed.
  • Create user‑friendly data collection systems for targeted behaviors and track replacement skills.
  • Maintain current graphs of behavioral data and assist teams in data‑driven decision making.
  • Participate in behavioral crisis intervention, debriefing meetings, and required documentation.
  • Report behavioral data analysis and progress to appropriate entities.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, presenting assessment results and progress graphs.
  • Provide building/district professional development related to behavior analysis.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff (speech, OT, PT, nursing, etc.) to support whole‑child development.
  • Other duties as assigned by administration.
Physical Demands

Regularly handles or feels with hands/fingers, reaches with hands and arms, speaks or hears. Frequently stands, walks, and sits. Occasionally lifts up to 50 lb. Requires vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Standard Requirements
  • Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for candidates who are offered employment.
  • Tuberculin Test and physical.
  • Mandatory Direct Deposit of paycheck.
