IT Support Engineer
Join The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC to work as an IT Support Engineer on our infrastructure and operations team.
We provide excellent customer service to coworkers with internal systems such as desktops, laptops, thin clients, smartphones, Wi‑Fi, switches, routers, storage networks, virtual servers, and internal software.

- Receive, prioritize, document, and resolve IT support requests (break‑fix, moves, add/changes/deletes).
- Document all progress for each support request or task.
- Remote troubleshooting via remote access tools.
- Participate in strategic and continuous improvement projects related to IT.
- Perform tasks during weekly maintenance windows.
- Assist with recurring day‑to‑day operations of all IT systems (desktops to servers).
- Serve as a member of a rotating on‑call team.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license preferred.
- At least 2 years of technical support, help desk, or systems administration in a corporate environment.
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent Microsoft certification(s) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Resourcefulness and quick‑thinking nature for troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail.
- Teamwork and exceptional customer service.
- Follow‑through and persistence.
- Organized with assigned tasks.
- Fundamental understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, remote support, Windows 8/10 Professional.
- Experience in multi‑location environment using MPLS or BOVPN preferred.
- Experience with Remote Desktop Services, Azure virtual desktops;
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019. - Experience administering VMware vSphere.
- Experience with scripting, automation, cloud environments (VMs, network security).
Regular verbal and written communication; ability to see and hear; frequently sitting, walking, standing, using hands, reaching with arms.
Work EnvironmentProfessional office environment with standard equipment; occasional business travel may be required.
