Site IT Technician (SITT)a. Job Highlights:
The SITT supports the digital infrastructure of the AHFS, ensuring secure, reliable, and mission-ready systems for flight operations, simulation, and administrative functions. This role demands technical proficiency, discretion, and familiarity with military protocols.
b.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing all the computer systems in the AHFS site.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including flight simulators, mission planning tools, and secure networks.
- Support all AHFS IT needs (e.g. Ground screening, Air screening, ground school, flight training phases, maintenance systems, warehouse requirements, GBTS facilities etc.).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in servers, workstations, and communication systems.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance with military standards and protocols.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and system permissions in accordance with operational security (OPSEC).
- Support real-time data systems used in flight training and mission debriefing.
- Conduct regular system diagnostics, backups, and updates.
- Document system configurations, network settings, and incident reports.
- Assist with IT support during field exercises and operational deployments.
- Train personnel on secure and effective use of IT systems.
c. Threshold
Conditions:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant IT experience.
- Experience with secure networks, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
- Clearance eligibility for handling classified information.
- Military IT experience or familiarity with defense systems (preferred).
- Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in mission-critical environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork in hierarchical structures.
- Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and operational readiness.
- Ability to document and audit IT procedures for regulatory inspections.
- English proficiency level – C1.
