Maintenance Director

UP TO $65,000 Per Year Depending Upon Experience!

Bay Terrace Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in beautiful Dover, DE is hiring an experienced Maintenance Director to join our Team!

This position is at a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Prior nursing home experience is Highly Preferred.

• The Maintenance Director plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the Maintenance Department, its programs, and activities.
• The Maintenance Director assists the maintenance staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
• The Maintenance Director reviews the department’s policies, procedure manuals, etc., at least annually for revisions and makes recommendations to the Administrator.
• The Maintenance Director interprets the department’s policies and procedures to employees, residents, visitors, government agencies, etc.
• The Maintenance Director makes written, oral reports and recommendations to the Administrator, as necessary or required, concerning the operation of the Maintenance Department.

• Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance or plant related position.
• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.
