Job Summary
The Product Inspector ensures safety, inspects, and packages products by checking and maintaining quality standards. This role collaborates with product leads and teammates to ensure job duties are complete and quality material is being packaged. The Product Inspector may assist with training new hires, work in collaboration with Operators, cleaning dies, stringing lines, and other duties as requested by management. They consistently demonstrate, promote and display behaviors aligned with company core values
Job Responsibilities- Follows all safety procedures and protocols.
- Keeps equipment and work areas clean and clear.
- Can use all equipment necessary and safely for packaging and line start up (i.e.: Sawzall, knife, tape measure, etc.).
- Performs quality checks as required.
- Ensures all packaging standards are being met.
- Ability to read and understand a production order.
- Able to pack the correct number of pieces in the bundle, perform counts.
- Bundle wrapped, banded and cart set-up.
- Keeps up with their assigned line.
- Ability to assist and work as a team.
- Ability to do sub-processes (routing, notching, etc.)
- Able to help operators when lines are down.
- Basic understanding of how profiles go together.
- Ability to follow and understand all direction given by leadership.
- Experience working in a manufacturing/distribution organization is preferred.
- Professional and personable, ability to work individually as well as with a team.
- Comfortable rolling up sleeves to learn new things.
- Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive motion of the limbs.
- Be able to bend, twist, squat, and reach.
- Able to be comfortable in an excessively noisy environment.
- May be exposed to inclement weather, excessive heat or excessive cold.
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
- This job operates solely in a factory setting. This role requires standing for long periods, walking the plant floor in a non-climate-controlled environment. This will require always wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses or ear protectors.
