The Loop Roots Foundation is a nonprofit, tax‑exempt organization dedicated to supporting justice‑impacted families through transportation, therapy, and technology‑driven programs. Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry. Founded in 2025, the foundation operates nationally, initially focusing on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia.

• Loop Connect – A ride‑credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.
• Loop Talk – A HIPAA‑compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma‑informed mental health care to justice‑impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.
• Loop Troop Rideshare Partnership – Collaboration with the Loop Troop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.

Remote (United States)

• 15–20 hours per week (flexible schedule).
• Remote collaboration via Zoho, Work Drive, and Cliq.
• Reports directly to the Founder & CEO, Marketta Kirby.

• Loop Roots Food Program – community food distribution and driver‑assisted deliveries.
• Loop Connect – sponsorship and credit‑based support system for transportation and visitation.
• Loop Talk – mental health and therapy check‑ins for families.
• Loop Home and Loop Housing – transitional housing and reentry support.

We’re seeking a Recruiter who can help expand our growing network of volunteers, interns, and professionals across departments including Tech, Marketing, Programs, and Operations. This role will focus on sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding talent through platforms such as Idealist, Linked In, Handshake, and Zoho People. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and passionate about connecting people to meaningful social impact work.

• Post, update, and manage volunteer and staff roles across recruitment platforms (Idealist, Linked In, Handshake).
• Source candidates and screen applications for open roles.
• Coordinate interview scheduling with department leads and the Founder.
• Maintain organized candidate tracking and communication in Zoho People and Zoho Recruit (if applicable).
• Support onboarding by ensuring new volunteers receive offer letters, Zoho logins, and onboarding instructions.
• Represent Loop Roots Foundation professionally and inclusively in all communications.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience or interest in recruiting, HR, or community outreach.
• Comfortable using online tools (Zoho, Google Workspace, Linked In, etc.).
• Organized, reliable, and able to handle multiple roles at once.
• Passionate about social justice, reentry support, or community‑driven programs.

• Hands‑on HR and recruiting experience with a rapidly growing national nonprofit.
• Certificate of volunteer service (eligible for Linked In recommendations).
• Opportunity to transition into a paid role post‑launch.
