• Current BLS Certification
• 2+ Years Experience
• EMR Experience

Obtains and records medical history and vital signs. Performs various types of injections (including BCG/Interferon, as needed), IV insertion, bladder scans, bladder cancer and interstitial cystitis treatments, Foley catheter placements and removals, tube irrigation, suture removal, and wound care. Educates patients and care partners on urology topics, including but not limited to chronic illnesses, wound care, intermittent self-catheterization, foley/suprapubic catheter changes, nephrostomy tubes and irrigation.

Assists with medical‑technician visits, as needed. Prepare (BCG, Intron‑A, IC Bladder cocktails) and administer medications according to the manufacturer's specifications. Educate patients and care partners on how to take medications as prescribed. Order and obtain authorizations for medications that are e‑prescribed by the physicians to be dispensed through the In‑house Dispensary. Order prescription refills per patient requests, with the approval of a physician.

Provides support for the primary medical technicians who are assisting the physicians with patient care. Retrieves, triages, and responds to Team voice messages and EMR pool messages between patient visits and during scheduled downtime. Maintains schedule for medication technician visits. Performs various procedures under the supervision of a physician and updates patient records in the EMR as required. Chaperone/assist physician with exams and dilations, if needed.
