QualificationsEducation & Experience:
- BSN required (or currently enrolled in BSN/MSN program with graduation within three years)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- National certification within three years of hire
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Proficiency in nursing principles, equipment, and current care standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and assist patients or equipment up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and patient positioning
- Clear hearing and vision to respond to alarms, monitor patients, and communicate effectively
- Assess patients, prioritize needs, and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance
- Document care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital and state regulations
