GeneralSummary:
Works independently and with autonomous collaboration with physician to provide complete physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and episodic disorders. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Responsibilities:- Appropriately prescribes pharmaceuticals according to age, chronic medical conditions, allergies, drug interactions, and duration of therapy.
- Perform routine and specialty physical exams and document specific age-related preventative health screening.
- Educates and counsels patients to promote wellness. Addresses and provides resources for health risk behaviors.
- Interprets diagnostic tests for patient and provides appropriate referrals or consultations.
- Performs technical and surgical procedures for patients as necessary.
- Appropriately dispenses pharmaceuticals according to age, chronic medical conditions, allergies, drug interactions, and duration of therapy.
- Completes patient discharge planning and education; writes appropriate orders and prescriptions. Performs patient education and counseling to promote wellness.
- Evaluates patient’s progress toward attaining expected outcomes. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions in relation to outcomes. Documents patient’s response to interventions.
- Upholds the professional code of ethics.
- Keeps all licenses/certifications up to date (including ACLS and PALS, if applicable).
- All other duties as assigned, within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

Basic Life Support Registered Nurse Nurse Practitioner Nurse Practitioner - Controlled Substances Registration - Experience:
Required:
No experience necessary.
Three (3) years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in specific area of practice.
