Quality Assurance Associate

Food Lion, a leading grocery retailer serving over 10 million customers weekly, is hiring a Quality Assurance Associate for Store 01419 in Dover, Delaware. This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment while minimizing shrink and improving labor productivity.

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Show courtesy and assistance to fellow associates.
• Sweep and clean floors during nights with no scheduled vendor services.
• Weekly cleaning of the Produce, Market, and Deli departments.
• Clean and organize the store mop room.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance labor productivity.
• Follow the QA daily checklist and sanitation standards set by Food Lion.
• Handle hazardous waste cleanup in accordance with current Standard Practices.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents.
• Report all associate and customer accidents to the Manager on Duty per established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with a neat and clean appearance while following the dress code.
• Successfully complete assigned training courses, including Computer Based Training and Training Packet.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and the technical requirements of the job.
• Skill in using technical information to solve problems.
• Meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
• Meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Use computers and other communication systems to perform job functions.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
• Bend and lift items up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Pull or push up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances.
• Handle substances associated with cleaning and packaging, fresh produce, house plants, and household cleaners.
• Use hands to handle currency and operate equipment such as cash registers, lottery machines, scanners, computers, and calculators.
• Reach and grasp at waist level, occasionally above shoulder or below waist level.
• Meet established volume activity standards for the position.
• Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Have sufficient visual ability to check , checks, invoices, and other written documents.
